James & the Boys - Day 1

First day on the job… I'm a little nervous but keen to see how I go with the boys and play-up heaps seen as mums out of town….

What a great looking day, I can here presto whinging, let me out, so I started to get his bottle ready and saw the slow cooker….. And at one glance I knew it wasn't right… I burnt the food…. Uh-oooh. I tasted it and the first bite was a bit rough but after that it was alright so I froze it for dinners for when Danielle gets home…. I gave some for Presto for lunch and he ate it alright so it mustn't have been too bad.

In the morning we had a little play and then headed for the pool for some cool refreshing fun….. Geez it was cold especially seen as they didn't let us use the heated pool until just before we wanted to leave. I knew I couldn't do it on my own so I had to call in for help on the first day, and Uncle Pete was happy to help us out. Preston also learnt a new word "shimming".

I put the boys down for a sleep and they went down easy. I was feeling pretty tired myself on the first day so I had a camp as well.... Well worth it. In Hindsight I probably should have started packing seen as I hadn't started yet….. In due time.

In the afternoon we had a big play on the jumping castle and Lincoln went in for the first time and absolutely loved it. Throw in a couple of balls and he was like a pig in sh*t. It was pretty fun.

The day was nearly at an end and one thing that I learnt was that these boys are pooh machines, geez they do a lot of craps. After dinner I decided to start packing and well that was bigger than Ben Hur and I didn't end up going to bed until 11:30pm which wasn't smart, seen as we had a big drive the next day. And I still didn't finish packing….
