James & the Boys - Day 10
Time to pack up again and head off to Auntie Liz and Uncle Clint's place….. I am so over packing up by this stage it's not funny. When I got to Liz's place I didn't really want to unpack everything again. While I was there I tried to use as much of Liz's stuff as I could but eventually everything came out of the car.
I was getting really tired and so were the boys. You could tell because This would have to be Preston's naughtiest day of the trip and my tolerance low…. He did get quite a few smacks for doing absolutely silly things, like throwing things in the pool through the fence, pouring rocks and dirt over Tyson and Lincoln because it was a fun game, feeding cat food to Lincoln and jumping on the couch to just name a few…. By the Jingos… Some of the stuff that ended up in the pool were multiple rocks, Tennis Racket, Plastic chain and balls. Presto wasn't all to blame though with Joseph right behind him handing him the stuff and helping throw it in.
To get the boys out of the house in the afternoon, I took Joseph, Preston and the dogs for a walk to the local Campwin beach park. Surprisingly enough it wasn't too bad. I thought it was going to be dodgy but it was ok. Whilst there Presto saw the beach and wanted to go for a swim so we headed down to the water and both the boys ran amok in the ankle deep water and in all the puddles left behind from the out going tide. The dogs had a great time also and were tied together with the double leash so they would stick together. After about half an hour the dogs got tangled around an old log and so we took the opportunity to build a sand castle and to bury the boys legs in the sand. Joseph thought it was a great game. Presto not so much. When we were ready to go I was facing the beach and let the dogs off the leash to untangle them, well they took off like a bat out of hell and I turned around and a guy walking a pram also had a massive dog on either side while mine ran up to him. You can imagine the poor guy trying to settle his dogs down and hold onto the pram. Lucky Jack and Jill responded to my booming voice and came straight back. I felt so bad for the guy, but he managed. The kids shit themselves when I yelled at the dogs because they didn't expect it either.
Grandad came over for a few beers with me and Liz and we got him on the Wii, hahaha. We had a great night.
