James & the Boys - Day 11

Well the day started off well but I wasn't comfortable with how naughty the kids were yesterday so I decided to take a run into town and go back to the water park again. What a much better day. I took Joseph with me also and they all had a ball. We were there for about an hour and Presto was absolutely freezing so we all went and rugged up to get warm and have a bite. After he stopped shaking he was a bit tentative in getting back in but eventually he could see that Joseph was having so much fun he had to join in. Lincoln on the other hand wasn't allowed back in because I felt it was a bit cold for him. So while I was changing him, I could see the boys in the distance playing and Presto was having a face off with this little girl…. I sat back and watched and I'm pretty sure Presto splashed water on her playfully and she didn't like it. It was no different to me splashing it on him. He did it again cautiously and she arced up and stormed off… Well this other little boy came over and started splashing Presto and then another, Joseph was bigger than them all and he grabbed Presto and stood behind him to show them that he was with him. The kids all settled down and Presto was still baffled as to what was going on, so he splashed them again and there was about 5 kids splashing Preston and Joseph and they all ganged up on them, so Joseph grabbed Preston by the collar and dragged him out of there while they continued to splash them. While this was going on I already started heading over and roused on the kids to stop splashing water because they were following the 2 boys.

I got Lincoln changed and moved onto Preston and Whoooah… Poooh in his little swimmers….. That’s why they need them. I didn't expect that, and when you pooh in water all the moisture seeps out ane all you're left with is the lumpy bits… I must admit it's hard to clean up when there aren't any mushy bits to pick it all up. It's a bit gross when he was swimming in the water with the other kids, but hey who got the last laugh, or maybe he was scared and he shit himself….. Anyway we got our departure lollipops and headed home.

That afternoon Preston had a great sleep and was a totally different kid. This was the awesome kid that loves to play and help and is a good boy. Uncle Clint started his Harley and the noise scared him a bit so we both headed out the front and watched him ride off to work. Presto found a bouncy ball in the front yard and so we played for a bit on our own and then we saw some cows just down the road. When Presto saw them he held up his hand and was gesturing to feed them going "feed, feed". So we headed off to see how close we could get. When we got there they started to come over to the fence and that just made Preston all the more determined to get closer. I wasn't so keen on my bare feet through the long sensitive weed and grass…. Ouch. Presto thought it was great though but then something spooked them and they took off. We changed position and then something spooked me….. A big dead snake where we were standing…. I didn't need telling twice, lets get out of here, much to Presto's disgust.

During the night I packed up everything so that we could have breakfast and leave first thing in the morning. I need the boys to have a great sleep so that they have a good trip tomorrow and maybe we'll go the whole way.
